The Reisterstown Fest

Every year residents flock to the Reisterstown Festival, a celebration of everything unique about the community. Vendors sell local crafts and foods from stalls along the street, local entertainers work their magic from the stages, and the parade is always a big hit where marching bands walk along with fire trucks and hot rods. Do not be surprised to find a group of historical re-enacters teaching about local history and old fashioned lifestyles or a martial arts exhibition featuring some of the area's masters. Also, be sure to catch the firework show, which is always a favorite amongst residents.

Fishing and Playing o

The Liberty Lake Reservoir is located immediately west of Reisterstown and offers some of the best fishing and outdoor recreation the area has to offer. After picking up a seasonal pass at the City of Baltimore Reservoir Natural Resources Office the intrepid angler can head out on the lake to go after some fish. Species include largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, bluegill, white perch, and crappie to name a few. As the reservoir is a source of drinking water for the surrounding communities, gas-powered motors are prohibited, but electric motors or good old fashioned oars should do the trick nicely.
