Held annually near the beginning of fall, this event brings children and adults alike from Raeford and all around the region to this fantastic festival. Enjoy live music, a parade, tennis tournaments, 5-kilometer run, cooking contest, and of course and turkey dinner. There is even a wrestling event, called the turkey throwdown. Bring the grandparents to enjoy Senior Day, with bingo, a boxed lunch, and a cooking demonstration for healthy food. There are also plenty of activities for the children as well.

It also hosts non-horse activities as well, such as cross-country runs, country festivals, dog shows, Boy Scout meets, and much more. If you have a horse of your own, come bring it down to the Carolina Horse Park, where you know it will be in good hands in their stabling facilities. Enjoy a show as you want championship horses go through derby field and cross-country courses. Both you and your equestrian friend can benefit from their schooling opportunities.
