Have Some Fun at One

There are several public parks in Powder Springs, allowing residents a variety of opportunities to have fun and get in some exercise. For example, the Whildhorse Creek Park is a sports complex that has everything from tennis courts to baseball fields and even a BMX track. Tramore Park is another sports facility that includes soccer fields sized for adults and children, making this a popular destination for youth soccer leagues. One of the city's parks, Powder Springs Park, even has an onsite historical museum, meaning that even bookworms are likely to find something to their taste in Powder Springs' public parks.

Kennesaw Mountain Nat

The Civil War is a big part of Georgia history, and field trips to famous battlefields from the war are common for kids. Powder Springs is within a stone's throw of one of these battlefields, which is preserved today as the Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park. The park is home to educational information about the battle that took place here in 1864, and park rangers are on hand to give educational talks to school and youth groups. In addition to these educational features, the park is also a great place to enjoy the outdoors, with miles of hiking trails and picnic facilities available.
