Gill Dawg Marina

Located in the Harbor Villas neighborhood on the inland side of Miller's Bayou, Gill Dawg is a popular local spot for food, entertainment, and outdoor recreation. Charter rentals are available here for a day of fishing in the bayou or a relaxing cruise. You can also rent kayaks, paddleboards, pontoons, and other equipment, ensuring endless outdoor adventures. Artisan fare is served at DiRenzo's Tiki Bar and Grill, including many dishes prepared from ingredients grown in the Gill Dawg organic garden. The Marina's event center hosts live concerts every weekend, making the venue a popular local nightlife haunt.

Sorrento's Bakery

This simple bakery on the city's south side is an inconspicuous local gem that occasionally draws foodies from as far away as Tampa Bay. Traditional Italian pastries, cookies, cakes, and other sweets are always fresh here, including butter cookies that are so rich and smooth they practically melt in your mouth. There is limited seating inside, and you can get a great cup of coffee here, too. If you are really in the mood for Italian, check out Mangiamo Italian Deli next door for some takeaway sandwiches for your main course and save Sorrento's for dessert.

Whiskey River

Located just inside Port Richey on the south banks of the Cotee, as the Pithlachascotee River is locally known, Whiskey River is a sports bar and grill with a lively backcountry atmosphere. A spirited joint where you will find live music most evenings and every weekend, Whiskey River has plenty of outdoor seating, which takes the party outside as well. The view of the river from the patio is spectacular, and this place has an impressive menu, too. Although a bit off the beaten path, Whiskey River is one of the best nightspots in town.
