The Gold Nugget Museum is an excellent place to visit with the entire family. The museum was established in 1973 in order to protect the heritage of the area and educate the community. With a large collection of Maidu Indian artifacts, there is plenty to see inside the museum. A blacksmith shop, gold sluices, and a miner’s cabin are also on display. Throughout the year special events are held, such as Gold Nugget Days and Days of Living History. With so much to see and do at the museum, you will want to return time and time again.
Paradise Performing A
Spend an evening enjoying a performance at the Paradise Performing Arts Center. The center seats 700 and features an intricately designed building that will take your breath away. The types of shows held at the center vary and can include concerts, ballets, and dramatic theater performances. Multimedia presentations, educational programs, and seminars also take place at different times. A concession area is also on hand so that you can enjoy a snack during your visit. Be sure to catch a performance by the Paradise Symphony Orchestra at this center for an unforgettable musical experience.
Paradise Memorial Tra
Spend the day hiking the Paradise Memorial Trailway that runs through parts of the Sierra Nevada Foothills. The trailway will take you through beautiful tall oaks and pines along with an abundance of other natural elements. About one mile into the trail, you can stop and enjoy the community park, which is home to restrooms, playgrounds, and the Depot Museum making it a great place to stop and catch your breath. After passing the park, you will begin entering the downtown area where you can explore restaurants and other shops. The trailway is an excellent way to get a scenic view of the area.
