Gold Nugget Museum

The Gold Nugget Museum is an excellent place to visit with the entire family. The museum was established in 1973 in order to protect the heritage of the area and educate the community. With a large collection of Maidu Indian artifacts, there is plenty to see inside the museum. A blacksmith shop, gold sluices, and a miner’s cabin are also on display. Throughout the year special events are held, such as Gold Nugget Days and Days of Living History. With so much to see and do at the museum, you will want to return time and time again.
