I've got dogs. What are the best places in Pacifica for being outdoors with pets?
Beautiful trails with gorgeous ocean and cliff views, breathtaking scenery, and abundant natural wildlife make Pacifica's Mori Point a beloved local treasure and favorite place for residents to bring their four-legged friends. Located on Moris Point Road, this quiet national park features easy hiking trails that connect to nearby Rockaway Beach. So pack a picnic and enjoy a day in the sun with your favorite pooch at Mori Point. Located on the corner of Yosemite Drive and Humboldt Court, Frontierland Park is a little-known bay area gem, hidden on the quaint Pacifica hillside. This small, clean park is well maintained with lots of space for dogs to run around, as well as several trails and a great playground area for the little ones.

Is Pacifica famous for any kind of restaurant or food in particular? What's the local favorite?
Featured on the Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, Gorilla Barbeque serves up (what many consider to be) the best barbeque in the Bay Area. Situated in an old railroad car on Pacifica's Coast Highway, this take-out only joint boasts fresh and tasty (albeit messy!) eats, huge portions, great prices, and friendly service. Favorites include Gorilla's fall-off-the-bone ribs, tender brisket, juicy pulled pork sandwich, and sides like their homemade mac and cheese, potato salad, and delicious cornbread. Grab a combo (and some napkins!) and snag a seat at the picnic tables up on the hill. Just be sure to get there early because when Gorilla's runs out of food, that's it!

What kinds of outdoor activities are either in or around Pacifica?
Pacifica is best known for its surfing, primarily at Linda Mar beach. Sharp Park Beach is located by the fishing pier and fronts Sharp Park Golf Course. It is a black sand beach with a dangerously steep shoreline. Rockaway Beach is located between Linda Mar and Sharp Park and is a small cove and beach in a commercial area with hotels and restaurants. A nice hiking / biking trail connects Linda Mar, Rockaway and Sharp Park and goes over the intervening headlands.

What do people in Pacifica do as far as outdoor recreation?
Pacifica's biggest attraction as far as outdoor recreation is concerned is, undeniably, its beaches. Linda Mar specifically serves as an ever-popular area for surfers in the Bay Area. But its land also has a lot to offer: there are many options for hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking in the area. San Pedro Valley County Park and McNee Ranch State Park are among the area's many parks with trails. Montara State Beach is also a short drive south down Devil's Slide.
