Explore the History
Take a trip back into time by visiting the Ehmann Home that Freda Ehmann and her son Edwin built back in 1911. The beautiful home is adorned with wainscoting, hardwood flooring, and stained glass windows. Antique furniture completes the home and a Chickering piano is also on display. The house can be rented for various events such as weddings and other formal celebrations. For an alternative vintage attraction, visit the Butte County Historical Society Museum, which is home to an old jail cell door, gold scales, and photographs that pertain to the town's past.
Tee off at the Lake Oroville Golf and Event Center located on Royal Oaks Drive. The 72-par course is home to 18 holes that are intertwined with lush greens and a variety of terrains. A driving range, pro shop, and putting greens are also available at the course. The other course in town was once home to the Women’s Pro Am Tour. The Table Mountain course is ideal for hardcore competitions or just friendly play with its water hazards, sand traps, and beautiful scenery. Rooms at both courses can be rented for special events.
