Ontario is a city located in southeastern California, not too far out of Los Angeles. As of 2010, the city had a population of 163,924, which was up almost five thousand people from the past ten years. Ontario is San Bernardino County’s 4th biggest city, and it is home to a number of attractions and amenities, including the LA/Ontario International Airport. Ontario, California was named after the Canadian province of Ontario by the Canadian Chaffey brothers, and it’s postmark of Ontario, CA has been known to be confused with the Canadian province.
The biggest travel facility in the city is the LA/Ontario International Airport, which is the 15th busiest airport in the entire country, serving both domestic and international clients. The airport also serves industrial traffic, with freight and consumer goods being shipped through FedEx and UPS. Most citizens get around in the city via their own vehicles. Major roads in and around the city include Pomona Freeway, Interstate 10 and 15, and State Route 83.
