The Obetz Ice Rink

Outdoor ice skating is a Midwestern winter tradition, and Obetz locals regularly take part in this activity at their city's ice rink. Though Ohio weather can occasionally get too harsh to allow for safe outdoor recreation, the Obetz Ice Rink is carefully maintained and monitored throughout the season, ensuring a safe, enjoyable environment for some classic wintertime fun. During the Christmas season, the rink is flanked by lighted trees, adding a festive element to this fun, family-friendly activity. If you do not own your own skates, you can rent some at the rink, making it easy to hit the ice.

Community Fun at the

One fun, quirky local event in Obetz is the annual Zucchini Festival, which is held at the peak of the summertime growing season at the city's Memorial Park. The Zucchini Fest gives locals and visitors the chance to enjoy classic summertime fair activities, from live concerts to beauty pageants and car shows. But, the centerpiece of the festival is, as you probably guessed, zucchini. All things zucchini are celebrated here, with vendors selling everything from zucchini bread to zucchini ice cream. A zucchini growing contest also provides the opportunity for some competitive community fun.
