Oakdale Rodeo

Oakdale's western heritage is celebrated at the famous Oakdale Rodeo. Cowboys from all around, out of town and local alike, come to try for the grand prize. The rodeo furthers its mission of promoting rodeo and the western way of life with lots of fun rodeo extras, like a parade, rodeo clowns, and live music. The rodeo even has a dance, with plenty of country and western dance moves. The big draw is of course the rodeo itself. With more than 60 years of history and plenty of fast-paced action, many high-test competitors make it into the ring.

Oakdale Chocolate Fes

Every year, Oakdale becomes a paradise for chocolate-lovers thanks to the Oakdale Chocolate Festival. More than two hundred vendors come out for the festival, lining the streets with booths selling all kinds of chocolate-based wares: Fudges, chocolate bars, truffles, and much more. The festival also has non-chocolate food to help cleanse the palate between the mountains of chocolate you will inevitably consume. There are chocolate-based activities for kids, a fun run for those who want to balance out their chocolate calories, and two stages of live music. There is even a classic car show with beautifully restored cars to peruse.
