Fun in the Windy City

Located on the outskirts of Chicago, residents of Oak Lawn can readily enjoy all the Windy City has to offer. While the night life is alive and well in Oak Lawn as seen in Deja Brew Bar & Grill or Whitney's Cafe, the tone is mellower when staying in the village. With a ride to the center of Chicago only 30 minutes away, you can easily enjoy the club life that Chi-Town offers as well as the fine dining and attractions such as Navy Pier. When living in the Oak Lawn, these opportunities are available at any time of year.

The Musicians and the

Perhaps it is due to the short ride to Chicago, or maybe just coincidence, but Oak Lawn has been home to its fair share of famous folks. Singer Kanye West attended school here while two members of the metal band Disturbed called the city home, along with Kevin Cronin, lead singer of REO Speedwagon. Athletes from Oak Lawn include basketball star Dwayne Wade and baseball players Brian Bogusevic, Bobby Madritsch, and Bryan Rekar. Another one-time resident of note: “Wheel of Fortune” host Pat Sajak. When you pass through Oak Lawn, you can get a taste of the life they experienced here.
