North Royalton has many diverse and delicious restaurants at the ready, covering everything from American dishes to Thai food. Pay a visit to Pierozhok, a small bakery located on Royalton Road. Although it is small, the baked goods are unparalleled to anywhere else in the city. They specialize in both American baked goods and Ukrainian baked goods. From there, stop in at Romano's Farmers Market & Deli for a taste of locally sourced sandwiches and produce. Continue on to the 3 Spot for a traditional American sports bar experience with plenty of friendly regulars.
Several art events take place each year in North Royalton. The Holiday Memories and Model Trains event is a must-see if you have children. Rare and fun exhibits are set up, allowing children to see marvelous and magnificent model trains. Santa is a regular at this event, too. The New Year's Eve downtown festival is also exciting, and is perfect for families with young children as it is alcohol-free. Ten venues group together for this event, providing around 80 performances and a rich downtown experience for children and adults of all ages.
North Royalton offers a number of great outdoor experiences just waiting for you to jump on in. Plan a day of fishing at the nearby Cuyahoga River, although an inexpensive license is required throughout most of the year. Rocky River also provides fishing and is only a short drive away. Nearby Maple Lake Campground features camp sites during the warmer months, opening in the spring and closing in mid-fall. You will find both cabins and tent areas, as well as space for RVs at this campground. The area is noted for its beautifully dramatic sunsets, something that is typical to many Ohio areas.
