Restaurants

If you are feeling like a night out from home, New Huntingdon has a number of restaurants right in town that you can take the family to for a nice night out or visit solo without the kids. There are a number of Italian restaurants and pizzerias and pizza and pasta are often #1 for young children, making this a great town for young kids to join the folks to eat out. There is also a selection of delis, Chinese, and sub shops, rounding out the absolute staples of any East Coast town. If you cannot resist a sweet treat after dinner, there is Huntingdon Creamery, an ice cream shop.

Westmoreland Mall

If you need to take a day to shop til you drop, Westmoreland Mall is less than a 10 mile drive in the nearby city of Greensburg. It is a two-level mall with four department stores as well as small clothing shops and boutiques, a food court, and health and beauty services that include a fitness center. Outside the mall itself are plenty of sit-down style places to eat if you do not feel like grabbing something quick from the food court, as well as several satellite stores and shops to explore.
