Through the years, immigrants from other parts of Europe, as well as Africa, Asia, and Central and South America, also made their homes in North Chicago. The children and grandchildren of these immigrants may have been mainstreamed into American culture by now but there's always that one last cultural hold out that even these generations continue to cling to and that's the food.
