Thursday Night Concer
Each summer, Niskayuna hosts a series of Thursday Night Concerts at the Town Hall Gazebo. These community concerts take place each Thursday evening throughout June, July, and August. Every concert is completely free and open to the public as well, so all you need to do is pack a picnic and bring your favorite lawn chair. The concerts feature a variety of bands from different genres, such as classic rock, jazz, bluegrass, and classical. Every concert is just one hour long, so bring your family and spend an evening enjoying some fresh air and listening to beautiful music with your neighbors.
Over 30 years ago, the Niskayuna Community Action Program (N-CAP) created Niska-Day to bring together families and allow residents to celebrate their town and its community. Niska-Day takes place the second Saturday of May, kicking off with a family fun run at 10:00 a.m. After this, the fair opens up, providing Niskayuna residents with a full day of fun events and activities, including craft vendors, carnival rides, karaoke, clowns, and live musical entertainment. Make sure to stick around until dusk, however, because that is when the main event takes place, a gigantic firework spectacular.
Take a Dip in the Tow
Summer officially starts in Niskayuna when the Town Pool opens mid-June. This community pool is the perfect place for Niskayuna residents to relax and cool off on a warm summer day. The pool, which can fit up to 114 swimmers at a time, is a great place for people either looking to get in a few laps in the morning or for families that want to enjoy a day in the sun. The fun then continues through Labor Day, with season passes available for Niskayuna residents that are looking for a great deal.
