The World's Largest L

The Harry C. Miller Lock Collection is the most complete collection of time and combination locks anywhere in the world. This collection is housed in Nicholasville's Museum of Physical Security, which strives to be the leading education facility in the security industry. This newly renovated museum comprises over 24,000 square feet, all dedicated to educating the public on the history of physical security, as well as the recent and future advancements. Although this is not a topic many people think about very often, it is an important part of everyone's lives and what you see at the museum may surprise you.

Springhouse Gardens

Finding beautiful plants for your garden is a walk in the park at Springhouse Gardens. This garden store sells a variety of plants that are hardy for the Central Kentucky environment yet also unusual. However, this is not your typical garden store. At Springhouse Gardens, it is all about providing customers with an experience. So rather than telling you how beautiful their plants can look in your yard, they show you. Walk around their six-acre garden as you decide what can work best for you. If you still cannot choose, staff members are there to guide you.

America's First Comme

When people think of wine, they usually imagine the valleys of California, with rolling hills of vineyards. However, the country's very first commercial winery actually began right here in Nicholasville. Now known as First Vineyard, this vineyard and winery have been located on the same land for over 200 years, constantly producing some of the area's finest wines. Today, First Vineyard strives to continue using many of the same grapes, methods, and buildings as it did long ago. Sipping on a glass of wine from First Vineyard is more than just a nice drink. It is also a historical experience.
