Newton Public Schools provide public education to Newton students. This district comprises four elementary schools, two middle schools, and one high school. There are also several private schools in the area.

Is Newton pet friendly?
Although Newton isn't home to any off-leash dog parks, it's a fairly pet-friendly city. There are several parks where you can take your pets in the city as long as they are kept on leash, including Centennial Park, Athletic Park, and Plumbrook Park. For a larger green space, Harvey County East Park, located 25 minutes east of the Newton city center, has hiking trails along a 314-acre lake. Harvey County West Park, located about 30 minutes west of Newton, is also a good place for spending time outdoors with pets.
