The Newport Symphony Orchestra is constantly serving up some sweet, melodious tunes for your ears, so do yourself (and your ears) a favor and get in there and give a listen. Head to the Newport Performing Arts Center in the Historic Nye Beach district to see a great variety of dances, plays, concerts, and even some out-there experimental work. Fun! If you’re looking to see some dance, you can easily do it through the Oregon Coast Ballet Company, Pacific Dance Ensemble, or Dance! And All that Jazz! Now, that’s a lot of exclamation points. They must be good.

Enjoy some super sweet special events and festivals throughout the year in Newport. Jazz at Newport features the rocking and head-bopping (or toe tapping, depending on your level of enthusiasm) tunes of both famous and budding jazz musicians. The Newport Seafood and Wine Festival has been named one of the top 100 events in North America. Come on, you gotta go. The annual event takes place every winter, so be sure to move into your pad before then to join in the festivities.
