Summer Triple Play
Each summer New Lenox brings the community to its feet by providing some of the best entertainment around in the form of music. Summer Triple Play brings together some of the most popular musical acts around to help raise money for local non-profit organizations. The concert series also helps fund the free activities held throughout the year in New Lenox, such as movie nights, Christmas in the Commons, and free concerts. Residents wait all year to hear who the new lineup will be for the next festival and begin making plans as early as February to attend the event is held in the New Lenox Commons.
The Bark Park
Every member of your family deserves a place to get away, including your favorite four-legged friend. Just a few minutes away, in neighboring Frankfort, your dog can run free at the local Bark Park. The park is a members only park, which ensures that each dog that runs free inside the park is up to date on their shots, and have been cleared by a vet. The park is a good way for your dog to get exercise and socialize. Man's best friend will love the freedom he has to run and play, and you will enjoy the bonding time you have with your furry friend.
Open Air Markets
Searching for local produce, products, and much more is part of the fun of shopping at the New Lenox French Market. The market is open during the warmer months and offers some of the best local shopping around. Locals can purchase everything from baked goods and fresh grown greens to gourmet cheeses and dips. If you are somebody who can whip up a mean dish or has an artistic flare, you may consider opening a vendor booth at the French Market to showcase your talents. Locals have looked forward to the open air market since it first began in 2011.
