Shark River Park

With more than 940 total acres of land space, Shark River Park is big enough to extend into a couple of neighboring cities in addition to Neptune itself. This impressive park is a great place to enjoy the outdoors all year round. Even though Neptune is on the coast, it does get snowy here, and the miles of hiking trails that can be enjoyed on foot in the snow-free months can be used as cross-country skiing or snowshoeing trails during winter. Similarly, ponds that can be used for fishing during late spring, summer, and early fall may freeze enough to support ice skating during winter.

Golfing in Neptune

Golfers in this seaside New Jersey town will be delighted to note that there are both private and public options for golf play in the Neptune area. If you prefer to play at a public club, the Jumping Brook Country Club offers a par 72, 18-hole course for members and their guests. An added bonus of club membership is that you can host benefits there in addition to playing golf. If a country club membership is not your style, Neptune's public Shark River Golf Course is another option, with a par 71 course that offers discounted greens fees for Monmouth County residents.
