And yes, you will be beckoned to come outdoors. This is beauty. Go for a swim, hop on a board and surf, fish, fly a kite, boat, beach comb, or simply sleep. (Let’s face it, a place this beautiful does sort of invite relaxation.) Either way, you are sure to find a way to take advantage of these beautiful beaches in your backyard.

The Nature Walk is a one-mile trail along the shoreline with a fishpond, playground, and picnic areas. This is a pretty walk to take in the scenery while getting a little exercise and fresh air. The Panhandle Butterfly House is also in the area. This is where folks can check out native species of the fluttering, beautiful creatures.

If you’re looking to spend time outdoors while hitting dimpled balls with clubs, there are a few good places in and around Navarre to get on the green. The Club at Hidden Creek offers an 18-hole championship course and it’s open to the public. The club has a putting green and chipping area, natural grass practice facility, and also offers lessons. The Tuscan Grille restaurant overlooks the course, and is a great place to relax and reminisce about your game (or kvetch, depending on your score) after playing a round. Golf Digest called the course "The Finest golf facility in Northwest Florida." Tiger Point Golf and Country Club is in the neighboring town of Gulf Breeze and is another standout course in the area.

Wild Times

The Gulf Breeze Zoo is in the neighboring town of Gulf Breeze, a mere 5 minutes away from Navarre. The zoo features animals from all over the globe, has a petting zoo, an old-fashioned train ride, and gardens to explore. Keep an eye on their calendar of events to join in on some of the fun programs and special events that go on at the zoo. They have some super cool ones like Zootots, Zoo Lights, and Boo at the Zoo.
