Naples Pier

The Naples Pier is one of the most popular attractions in the area. Built in 1888 as a freight and passenger dock, the pier is now a landmark and a symbol of the area's rich history. Today, it's a mecca for fishermen, as it's the only place in Naples that doesn't require a fishing license to cast a line. During the day, there's a concession stand for drinks and snacks. Group activities, including beach volleyball games are also popular here. And in the evening, the pier is a favorite place to watch the sun set over the Gulf.

Naples Players

The Naples Players is a nationally recognized theatre company located in Naples, Florida. The company has been named the Best Live Theatre in Southwest Florida 10 times by the Naples Daily News. In 2012, Smithsonian Magazine cited the company when naming Naples the 9th best town in America and in 2008, CNN and Money Magazine also cited the company when recognizing Naples as one of the best places for a long life in the U.S. The Naples Players perform in the Sudgen Community Theatre, Blackburn Hall, and Tobye Studio Theatre.

Botanical Garden

The Naples Botanical Garden is a must-see. Many visitors to the garden say that it's one of the most beautiful in the country. The park was founded in 1993 by a group of 8 Naples residents who shared a dream of creating a world-class botanical garden. Today, there are six cultivated gardens, including a children's garden, an Asian garden, and a Caribbean garden. There are also 2.5 miles of walking trails and 90 acres of restored nature preserve. The Botanical Garden also hosts special events, traveling exhibitions, and performances.
