Muskogee is full of restaurants. At the intersection of Main St and Okmulgee St in downtown Muskogee, for example, are few dining options. Perhaps the area with the highest concentration of restaurants lies to the north of this area at the intersection of Main St and Shawnee St. Another area with many eateries is along 32nd St near the Muskogee Regional Medical Center.
Does Muskogee have a good school system?
Parts of Muskogee's school system are good, and other parts are not so good. Public education to the town's students is primarily provided by the Muskogee School District. With 13 schools serving over 6,400 pupils, this district was rated better than only 18.6 percent of school districts in Oklahoma and 8.8 percent of school districts in the country. However, Muskogee is also served by the Hilldale School District, which was rated better than 87.9 percent of school districts in Oklahoma and 40.7 percent of school districts in the country. Muskogee is also home to four institutions of higher education: Northeastern State University, Connors State College, Indian Capital Technology Center, and Bacone College.
