Murray and the surrounding area are known for a spectacular array of city parks. The Murray Jordan River Parkway is a system of natural trails running along the river. The trails connect the Arrowhead, Germania, Walden, and Winchester Parks. The parks are both human and equestrian friendly, and have picnic areas and canoe launch sites. Murray City Park is the largest of the community parks, featuring the historic wooden sculpture of Chief Washakie at its main entrance.
