I've got dogs. What are the best places in Mount Rainier for being outdoors with pets?
Mount Rainier isn't home to any off-leash dog parks. However, there are still plenty of places where residents can bring their pets outdoors in and around Mount Rainier as long as they are kept on leash. Within the city limits, the only park is the Mount Rainier Nature/Recreation Center. Parks in neighboring towns include Cottage City Park?, Bladensburg Waterfront Park, and Colmar Manor Community Park, the three of which make up a large green space in near Mount Rainier that extends farther south into more riverside park land, including the National Arboretum. To the northwest of Mount Rainier lies Rock Creek Park, while to the northeast lies Greenbelt Park.

Is Mount Rainier a good place for younger people?
With a population of about 8,500, Mount Rainier is a city in Prince George's County, Maryland. As a suburb of Washington, D.C., Mount Rainier is more popular with the older, educated crowd than it is with the younger set. In fact, a full 31 percent of the population falls between the ages of 35 and 54, while 13 percent is over the age of 55 and 25 percent is under the age of 18, leaving just 12 percent of Mount Rainier residents between the ages of 18 and 24 and 19 percent between the ages of 25 and 34. However, the cost of living in Mount Rainier is significantly cheaper than that of Washington, D.C., 20 percent, to be exact, making it a good place for young folks on a budget. Those looking for nightlife, however, should travel south to the nation's capitol or west to Bethesda.
