Moreno Valley is a young city geographically located in Riverside County between San Bernardino and Riverside. Once an infant among California cities, Moreno Valley is now a booming area with more than 32 parks, 6,000 acres of open space, quality housing at affordable prices, abundant retail centers, industrial developments and countless social and cultural activities. It is also conveniently located just one drive from beautiful mountains, desert and beaches. The city born roughly 30 years ago has become a major hub of business and life in Southern California.
Moreno Valley, like most of Southern California, is a sprawling area that is best navigated by car. Walking and biking is popular on the trails, particularly the newly developed The Multi-Use Trail System, but it is not recommended on the roads. Moreno Valley is served by the Riverside Transit Agency, which offers 36 local routes and 8 express bus routes through Riverside County. The service area covers 2,500 square miles, which is the second-largest service area in the United States.
