The Great City of Mobile

No, Mobile is not just a gas station or a word meaning, “to move easily.” This is a pretty dang awesome town in the state of Alabama. And it’s also the name of a river. And a bay. And a county. Yes, Mobile sits on the Mobile River and Mobile Bay in Mobile County. That’s a whole lotta Mobile. And this is a whole lotta city.

Looking at the Rental Rates

Don’t worry about wasting time scouring the web for deals on your new place. Our apartment finder does all the work for you. (Thank you, robot.) Whether you’re looking for something near Washington Square, want a nice view of the Bay, or simply need a cozy place for you and Paula, your lovely little Poodle, (nice haircut, btw) our finder will track it down for you and keep you within budget. So what does an apartment in Mobile actually go for? Check out the table above and do a side-by-side comparison of one, two, and three bedroom rentals. It’s that easy.

Mobile Mmmmm Yeah

There is so much to do in this city. If you move to Mobile, you will certainly never be bored. The city has an awesome mix of cultures including French, Creole, Spanish, British, and African. That means tons of culture, tons of charm, and yes, tons of good food. There are some really amazing dining opportunities here, especially with such close proximity to the Gulf of Mexico. Seafood lovers will be in bliss.

Activities Galore

It’s easy to hang outdoors once you’re moved into your new apartment, and there are many beautiful places to do it. Whether you’re looking to get active outside or simply hang, you’ll find a great place to do it. You’ll find parks, trails, playgrounds, and open space to inspire you to get active. Of course, with all the water, you can also do things like canoe, kayak, and fish. (Can’t really do that on dry land.) There are also some great gardens to explore, like the Mobile Botanical Gardens. It’s the perfect place to go for a nice, solitary stroll, or a walk and talk with a friend. Or an enemy.

Explore the Arts

If you consider yourself a patron of the arts, you are in luck in Mobile. The Mobile Arts Council keeps art alive and well in town and there are literally oodles (yes, that’s literal) of artistic activities going on. For a shot of art, you can check out places like the Mobile Museum of Art, catch a show at the Mobile Civic Center, listen to the melodious tunes of the Mobile Symphony, or rock out with one of the many music clubs in town like, Veets.

Looking Back in Time

History buffs will find paradise here as there are tons of places to feel as though you hopped in the ‘ol time machine. (No plutonium necessary, sweet!) The Museum of Mobil, Battleship Memorial Park and the USS Alabama, the Mobile Carnival Museum, and the Bragg-Mitchell Mansion are just a few of the places you’ll want to check out. The list goes on and on. A great resource is the Historic Mobile Preservation Society. Check out their site for tons of info on different sites to explore, special events, and tours.

Celebrate!

Mobile has a rich history and is the birthplace of Mardi Gras. So yes, there is much partying to attend to here. Move into your pad before November to enjoy this festive time of year. Other festivals throughout the year in town include things like the BayFest, the Annual Christmas Show and Sale, the Chocolate Festival (yummers), the Church Street East Art Festival, and the Mid-Town Music Fest. The city’s calendar is seriously bursting with activity. You will have no right to be bored. For reals.

Move into your new apartment and love life in this Alabama community with all its festivities, rich history, and activities galore.
