Martha Lake

Mill Creek locals enjoy some time on the water at scenic Martha Lake just west of town. The lake provides a bit of down time from the hustle and bustle of city living, and the adjacent park has plenty of amenities to keep visitors happy. These include a fishing dock, three picnic shelters that can be reserved ahead of time, and a boardwalk winding through the natural wetland area that surrounds the lake. The park is also the site of the Martha Lake Open Water Swim, a swimming race with multiple lengths of swim that takes place on Martha Lake.

Flying Heritage Colle

If you are interested in aviation history you would do yourself a disservice if you did not check out the Flying Heritage Collection, a rare collection of 1930s and ‘40s planes from many nations. The bulk of the collection consists of combat planes from World War II, many of which were salvaged from actual battlegrounds and airfields, and then carefully restored. Many of the aircraft are now fully capable of flight once more. Located at Paine Field just northwest of Mill Creek, the Flying Heritage Collection museum is a day trip you will not regret making.
