Are there big sporting events that people in Milford enjoy attending?
Milford isn't home to any major professional or collegiate sports teams. However, located about 35 minutes from Worcester and 50 minutes from Boston, Milford residents can easily enjoy sporting events in either of these two cities. Worcester is home to professional hockey, baseball, and football teams: the Worcester Sharks of the American Hockey League and the Worcester Tornadoes of the Canadian-American Association of Professional Baseball League, and the New England Surge of the Continental Indoor Football League. In Boston, the Boston Red Sox of the MLB play at Boston's famous Fenway Park, the Boston Bruins of the NHL and the Boston Celtics of the NBA both play at TD Banknorth Garden, and the New England Patriots play at Gillette Stadium. Many colleges in both cities also have well-attended sporting events.
