These include Red Root Park, Baldwin Marsh Wildlife Area, and Welchs Point Park, many of which have hiking trails. Perhaps the best place to be outside in the area is Roosevelt Forest, which is located in nearby Stratford and comprises about 250 acres. Visitors enjoy hiking, horseback riding, cross-countly skiing, snowshoeing, and ice skating.
