Pilot Training College

In addition to the Melbourne International Airport, the city of Melbourne is also home to multiple flight schools. The premier school in town is the Pilot Training College, which offers commercial pilot training. PTC has its primary facilities in Melbourne, but it also has a facility in Ireland, for those pilots thinking of studying abroad. With a variety of programs that allow pilots to train for a commercial license, PTC has become a popular place for those interested in aviation. Many of the commercial pilots now working at the Melbourne International Airport earned their wings right here in their hometown.

Foosaner Art Museum

The Foosaner Art Museum is the premier museum in the Melbourne area. Works from internationally and nationally renowned artists, as well as local Florida artists, are all on display here. The museum's exhibits have become quite popular with the locals and tourists alike. Though the museum has been around for almost forty years, just a few years ago it merged with the Florida Institute of Technology, drawing additional funds and resources. Recently, the most popular exhibit at the museum was ÒA Mysterious Clarity, which held works from three faculty members of the Florida State University Fine Arts program.
