State Street and Dini

Experience the culture and community in Media by attending one of the exciting events held throughout the area. Dining Under the Stars will provide you with a taste of Paris all summer long. The event takes place every Wednesday and allows you to enjoy dining outside at a variety of restaurants. State Street Stroll Blues is a musical event you will never forget. This festival takes place during June and features local and regional bands at 20 different venues around town. Other activities are also found throughout this event to enhance your enjoyment.

Hedgerow Theatre

Enjoy a wonderful performance and unique architecture by visiting the Hedgerow Theatre. Built in 1923, this theater has a place on The National Register of Historic Places list. With over two dozen performances per year, this venue offers a variety of ways to be entertained. With musicals, comedies, and children’s shows, there is something for everyone. This magnificent theater was awarded “Best New Play” Barrymore Award in 2005 for its production of "The Lives of Bosie" by John Wolfson. The theater hosts classes and programs throughout the year as an added bonus.

Veterans Museum

Honor those who have served our country by spending some time at the Pennsylvania Veterans Museum. The museum tells the story of American conflicts through the eyes of those who took part in them. Featured exhibits inside the facility include a Korean War area where a life size soldier displays personal memorabilia. An interactive D-Day area has kiosks that tell personal stories from various veterans. Educational lectures and programs are hosted at the museum during scheduled times. Purchase or rent special films related to various conflicts as an in-school or at-home teaching tool.
