Riverfront Park

The Los Angeles River curves along the northeast edge of town before it makes its final stretch to Long Beach. Maywood decided to take advantage of these beautiful riverbanks by creating the Riverfront Park. This park is nice breath of fresh air in one of California's most densely populated counties, allowing for Maywood residents to get out and play in this green oasis. Each year over Memorial Day weekend, Maywood hosts its biggest annual event: The Maywood Street Fair. This fair is a place for families, friends, and neighbors to gather and celebrate this beautiful city. Also, a huge carnival is set up with tons of rides, games, and other activities that the kids are sure to love.
