It needs one pool for the lap-swimmers, one for the lazy river floaters, one from the water sliders, one for the beach goers, and one for the splashers. If you’re 62 or older, you’ll want to frequent the rocking and rolling Senior Center as well.

What kinds of outdoor activities are either in or around Lynnwood?
Lynwood is home to an impressive total of 21 community parks with such amenities as basketball courts, tennis courts, baseball fields, and even skateboard rinks. Thirteen miles of trails run in and around the parks for hiking, biking, and jogging. Hundreds of lakes and rivers are also nearby, including Lake Washington and miles upon miles of the Puget Sound shoreline where locals can go water skiing, wind surfing, jet skiing, kayaking, and swimming. Lynnwood is also just a quick 30-minute drive from the Cascade Mountains. During the wintertime, visitors head here for some quality sledding, skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing.

While there are no big sporting events that take place within Lynnwood, the nearby cities of Seattle and Everett are host to an array of professional sports teams. The MLB Seattle Mariners play their hometown games at the beautiful Safeco Field in Seattle. The Key Arena in Seattle Center hosts the WNBA Seattle Storm and Seattle's Qwest Field hosts the NFL Seattle Seahawks, as well as Major League Soccer team the Seattle Sounders FC.
