Robeson Regional Agri
Around since the late 1940s, the Robeson County Fair started as a local festival for farmers. It has now grown to an inclusive festival for all residents, with more than 45 amusement rides for all ages. Past activities included country concerts, chainsaw carving exhibits, animal shows, including exotic animals, comedy and hypnotist shows, tractor drag racing, cook-offs, and many more. The fair provides activities for children and adults alike, with an emphasis on agricultural events such as the showing of livestock. This annual festival is traditionally in the fall. Bring down the entire family, as they are sure to have a good time.
Luther Britt Park
Bring your family for a day outdoors at Luther Britt Park. This park includes two lakes, which offer opportunities for fishing, boating, and swimming, with swimming only available on certain days with a fee. Also, enjoy a picnic at one of their picnic shelters, take a hike through their nature trail, or enjoy a friendly game on their basketball courts. Paddleboats and canoes are available for more water fun, and playgrounds are there for the little ones. Rent out the beach house or party room for a birthday or special event. There is something for everyone here.
Robeson County Histor
The history buffs in your life will love checking out the Robeson County History Museum. Around since 1986, this organization hopes to preserve the rich tradition of Robeson County for future generations to come. Your history lesson starts in the building itself, an old railway express station that goes back to the early 1900s. On display are various artifacts from the area’s history, including exhibits showing the agricultural, military, cultural, and transportation aspects of Robeson County. Permanent exhibits include a showing of a World War II-era bedroom, a slice of everyday historic life, and a showing of the natural resources of the county.
