Logansport is home of the Logansport Art Association, which is the oldest art organization in Indiana. The town's love of art is showcased in its annual art festival, Art on the Avenue. In addition to fine art vendors, you will also be able to enjoy delicious food and great live music. There are also events for the little ones, including a children's corner that has activities for kids to express themselves with art. Some of the different types of artwork featured at the festival are sculpture, woodworking, stained glass, and fine jewelry. This is, of course, in addition to traditional paintings and photography.
Dykeman Park Golf Cou
Dykeman Park Golf Course is a course with character. Originally established with only nine holes in 1926, an additional nine holes were added in 1956 to bring the total up to 18. The course is forgiving enough for beginners, yet challenging enough for experts. The long tees play at a par 70 while the short tees play at par 73. There is a well-stocked pro shop on site where you can purchase anything you need including clubs, shoes, tees, and balls. If you need to brush up on your swing, you can make an appointment for a lesson or two with the resident golf pro.
