Live Oak History

The area now known as Live Oak was originally settled as a small farming and ranching community due to its vast land and fertile soil, but agriculture was not all it had to offer. When Interstate 35 and Loop 1604 began construction in the area, the town started to grow and businesses started to establish themselves here with more and more people able to reach the city with ease. As time went by, large residential neighborhoods and shopping complexes began make their way into Live Oak in order to meet the needs of the rapid growing population.
