A Night at the Sympho

Classical music lovers will be thrilled to know that Lima has their very own symphony orchestra. Formed in January 1953, the Lima Symphony Orchestra has been putting on performances for the public for decades. Each season, the LSO develops a series of four to five concerts along with an annual opera. So music enthusiasts can purchase a series subscription to ensure they get a best seat to every show. The LSO is also affiliated with the Lima Area Youth Orchestra, designed to get children interested in the beauty of classical music, making them fans for a lifetime.

University of Northwe

Students that enjoy that small town feel will love it at the University of Northwestern Ohio. Located on the northwest side of Lima, this private university enrolls approximately 4,500 students each semester. The university is comprised of five colleges, with over 60 programs in areas such as business, healthcare, technology, and marketing. The campus itself, which spans over 200 acres, is a beautiful area of Lima with lots of green space. Northwestern Ohio also has a wide range of sports teams known as the Racers, so students always have a way to get involved or cheer on their peers.
