While you’ll probably need to travel to Philly for an authentic cheesesteak, Liberty has plenty of good food, good times, and good people. Here in Texas, you can enjoy metropolitan living without metropolitan prices. This city is known for its great schools, entertainment, shopping, recreation, and more. Like Philadelphia, Liberty is also a historic city. Established in 1831, it’s the third-oldest city in Texas. With a population of around 8,000 people, Liberty’s grown a lot since its early settlement days, but not so much that you’ll have trouble finding a parking spot downtown. The county seat of Liberty County, Liberty bears the nickname “First City on the Trinity” for its location on the Trinity River. Rent one of Liberty’s apartments and you’ll not only enjoy great arts, culture, and recreation, but beautiful scenery as well. Who needs cheesesteaks when you can live in an affordable city with so much to offer?

Still hungry? Buy some goods at the bake sale or get your fill at the fish fry. In the mood for a spectacle? Watch the fireworks display and the children’s parade. This must-attend event also features chainsaw art, a street dance, clowns, live entertainment, crafts, and much more. You’re sure to be well-fed and well-entertained should you rent one of Liberty’s fine apartments. Be sure to bring your bib.

Fishing, Golfing, Splashing, and More

Should you happen to go a little overboard on baked goods at the Liberty Jubilee, you’ll have plenty of ways to burn off all those extra calories thanks to Liberty’s great parks and recreational opportunities. You can play a round of golf at Magnolia Ridge Country Club, go for a bike ride with the kids, or take part in the Lotus 5K Run at Liberty Municipal Park. Speaking of Liberty Municipal, this city park has something for everyone. In the mood for baseball? There are twelve baseball/softball fields—enough to host an entire league tournament! If you’re not up for organizing an entire baseball tournament, you can bike the park’s two miles of paved trail or spend a few relaxing hours fishing. If you’ve got kids, the park also has a Splash Pad waterpark and a children’s playground area. Rent one of Liberty’s lovely apartments and you’ll be living the good life in no time.
