For students just starting off their college career, Lake-Sumter is a great place to begin. With approximately 8,000 enrolled students per semester, this community college offers several Associate and Bachelor's programs in the field of liberal arts. Best of all, the college offers a unique 2+2 program in which students can study for two years at Lake-Sumter, and then continue their studies at the University of Central Florida or St. Leo University until their Bachelor studies are complete. In fact, each student that graduates Lake-Sumter with an Associates degree is guaranteed acceptance to the University of Central Florida.

Each April, bikers and motorcycle lovers from around the country gather for the live music and bike exhibitions at the Leesburg Bikefest. This festival is the largest three-day motorcycle and music event in the world. From custom bike shows to biking demonstrations, this a great place for those with a passion for old and new motorcycles to learn something new and meet other people in this unique community. With six different beer tents and stages, however, Bikefest is also the perfect place for those that love classic rock and are looking to see a great concert.
