Lawrenceville, Georgia is the one of the oldest cities in Gwinnet County. It is also the county’s political seat, where the local government is located. As part of the Atlanta metropolitan area, Lawrenceville has a middle sized population of 28,546 people. The city has a diverse population of many different racial backgrounds, making it one of the most diverse towns in the entire area. Lawrenceville also has a fabulous hospital system, which has been recognized nationally for its services.
Transportation in Lawrenceville comes mostly in the form of highways that run through the city. The city does have its own airport, although the volume of passengers coming and going each day is rather small. The highways that come in and out of the city include the Georgia 316, Interstate 85, US 78, US 29, GA 8, GA 20, and GA 120. Most of the citizens get back and forth inside the city in their own vehicles.
