    With a population of close to 2,400, Lauderdale is a small city in Ramsey County, Minnesota. As part of the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area, Lauderdale is surrounded by Minneapolis, St. Paul, Roseville, and Falcon Heights. This makes it a great place for those people that work in any of those bigger cities but prefer to live in a smaller, more manageable community. With many lakes and parks in the area, Lauderdale is also a good place for those that enjoy spending time outdoors.

  • What do people in Lauderdale do as far as outdoor recreation?

    Lauderdale residents have plenty of options when it comes to outdoor recreation. With copious country clubs in the area, golf is quite a popular activity. For those that prefer off-course options, Lauderdale also is home to many city parks, and there are several larger parks outside of Lauderdale. These include St. Paul's Como Regional Park and Mears Park, as well as New Brighton's Long Lake, located about 15 minutes north of Lauderdale. With so many lakes in the area, fishing, swimming, and sailing are common during the warmer months. Winter activities include cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, skating, ice hockey, and ice fishing.
