Beall's Pleasure

One of the pleasures of being in the Washington D.C. area is all of the historic attractions that are available for visitors and residents to experience. Such is the case with Beall’s Pleasure. This is a home that was built in 1795, with the location served as the summer residence for former secretary of the navy, Benjamin Stoddert, the very first person to hold this esteemed position. The two-story brick home is a masterpiece of period architecture. Equally, the home is a remarkable example of historic preservation considering it is over 200 years old.
