What’s for me in Laguna Beach
Yes, this is a beach town. What gave it away? The word “beach” in the town’s name? Nah. The Hills! The beaches and coves and bluffs and the Pacific Ocean are breathtakingly beautiful. No joke. But Laguna is more than a beach town with fantastic apartments. There is more going on here than meets the eye. Shopping, dining, entertainment, and art, you can find it all here. Laguna Beach is actually known for its art vibe as well. If you can stand to leave the knock-out stunning outdoors, you can check out countless galleries in town and the beautifully located Laguna Art Museum. The Laguna College of Art and Design has been grooving since 1961, so as you can see, the art roots here are deep. You can also enjoy art by taking an art tour or catching the Sawdust Festival.
Beaches, Parks, and Exciting Events
Enjoying the beaches in Laguna Beach is easy. Just walk outside your door and you will likely run into a beautiful beach. But you can also enjoy spending time outdoors by going to one of the many parks in the area. Crystal Cove State Park is part beach and part undeveloped woods and one hundred percent stunning. Folks can hike, bike, scuba, surf, swim, horseback ride, and contemplate beautifully here. Birder alert! There is also unbelievable wildlife viewing opportunities. You’ll see tide pools, which are extremely awesome, teeming with anemone, starfish, and other creatures of the sea. You will definitely want to bring those binoculars for viewing from a distance cause you might see dolphins, whales, and coyotes along with many different types of birds. The park also has some super cool, special events like Full Moon Hikes, Holiday Bazaars, Geology Tours, and Tidepool Walks. Another awesome element is the historic spin. The Crystal Cove Historic District has been a playground since the 1920s. You might find yourself expecting to see an old school surfing dude taking his wide surf board off his wood-paneled Winnebago. And who knows? You just might. For more outdoor fun, check out the Aliso and Wood Canyons Park for your hiking, biking, and nature-loving pleasure. They have some great educational events and programs here as well like the Amazing Arachnids, an Edible and Useful Plant Hike, a Yoga Hike, and the Tot Walk.
