Kissimmee Florida

Located due South of Orlando, Florida, Kissimmee is considered a part of the overall Orlando metropolitan area, yet it is a small town with a population of 60,000 people.Originally, a steamship building town, the advent of great railway lines displaced the need for the boats, and Kissimmee gradually became a ranching community. Today, with its close proximity to Disneyworld, Kissimmee is more residential. Know when looking for your Kissimmee apartment that the central area is very walkable, but you'll no doubt want a car for exploring and making the best use of a great area.

Amidst Amusement Parks

Even with the amusement parks of Orlando just up the road, Kissimmee has a huge water park, enough running trails and golf courses to keep even the biggest outdoor enthusiast busy. The Osceola Center for the Arts and the Osceola County Historical Society & Museum provide local cultural venues, and the Silver Spurs Arena presents big name entertainment. Your Kissimmee apartment is just the beginning of the great lifestyle this area has to offer.

Basque Cuisine

There are a number of big resorts in Kissimmee that all offer upscale dining but for everyday life, here are a few to checkout while getting settled in your Kissimmee apartment. The Columbia Restaurant of Celebration may sound like an odd name but it's a wonderful Basque style food place, and the Jam Rock Caribbean Restaurant is fabulous for all things from the islands. The Stadium Bar and Chop is great when you want a big steak too.

Go Visit the Sister

The area of Broadway Avenue has a number of interesting places for nightlife. Sisters Speakeasy has live music and is usually crowded with friendly people. Nearby is a wine bar, a cigar bar and more. Depending on your tastes, Salsa Latina is a good evening as is the Cracker House. If smaller pub-like places are more to your liking, definitely check out O'Doherty's Irish Pub or Raglan Road Irish Pub. Both have great eats and friendly bars, and either would be a place to meet new people.

Your Kissimmee apartment is going to be convenient to so many places. Have fun!
