Kingwood, Texas

Kingwood, Texas, is a master planned community consisting of 14,000 acres and has a population of around 65,000. It is situated on the north end of Lake Houston, and is also known as the "Liveable Forest". It is a series of villages that are connected by bike trails as well as regular streets. It's attempt to create a residential environment that can exist in harmony with nature has made it a very popular place to live. A car is a definite necessity so keep that in mind when thinking of a Kingwood apartment.

Artfully Planned

Golf courses, access to Lake Houston and 75 miles of trails known as the ‘greenbelt' make this town a paradise for the outdoor enthusiast. There's a lovely town center, and you'll find shopping and restaurants in each village. Nearby Humble, and, of course, Houston provide major venues for performing arts and the fine arts. Kingwood is meant strictly for living so your Kingwood apartment will be a haven of peace and quiet.

After Sundown

There are a number of restaurants sprinkled around the various villages and also many centered near Route 59. One of the places most favored inside Kingwood is J Christopher's, it's mom and pop pizza and pasta place that everyone loves. Both the bar and the steaks at the Texas Roadhouse are terrific, but pricey too. Raffa's is an American style bistro with great food and a fantastic setting next to a lake. It's perfect for a cool evening meal after a day on the golf course. And with Houston such a short drive, you can be at four and five star restaurants in no time at all!

Right Side of the Tracks

At night, sports bars and smaller bars are the favorite hangouts, and once in your Kingwood apartment, you'll probably want to find one close to home. In the meanwhile,Molly's Pub and JT's Sports Bar are good places to check out. There's a dance club called 494 which has some live music or a DJ. Molly's is also about the closest thing to a good dive bar. It's even on the railroad tracks for ambience!
