Is this paradise? It very well might be. Kapolei is in Honolulu County in Hawaii, on the beautiful island of Oahu and it is absolutely stunning. It’s not just the view, the average temperatures are pretty sweet too, hanging between 60 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Oh, yeah. Awe-some.

The Kapolei weather is pretty darn perfect and the landscape is enough to make you never want to work again. Thank the Hawaiian gods for beaches! With beaches this gorgeous, you’ll have to indulge. Once you’re in your new apartment you can do way more than swim here, and you certainly will be beckoned to do more! Snorkel, sail, surf, scuba, and watch for whales and dolphins. Hawaii Nautical offers great tours, sunset cruises, and more. Your water adventures await! If you’re looking for something less...natural, but still want to have some rip roaring good times, head to Wet’n Wild water park. Weeeee hooooo! This place will give you and your clan a real rush of fun with rides and slides like the Tornado, the Hawaiian Waters wave pool, live entertainment, and fun fun fun.

If you’re into hitting little white balls with clubs, you’ll likely never want to leave. This is a golfer’s paradise for sure. Kapolei Golf Course opened in 1995 and has been pleasing ball whackers ever since. They offer rentals, lessons, a nice driving range, and a great practice putting green. Other great courses in the area include the Ko Olina Golf Club and the Ewa Villages Golf Course. So many greens to conquer, so little time.
Lookout for the Luau
What would an island town be without a good luau? Check out Germaine’s Luau for some awesome eats with their bonko-great buffet. Yum! Plus you can enjoy their drinks, live entertainment, and of course, have some fun while you’re at it. And maybe even get up and dance, dance, dance. Luau-style, of course. If you’d like to learn more about native cultures, visit the Polynesian Cultural Center in nearby Laie. At the center you and your fam can enjoy learning all about this native culture, take a tour, catch a show, or go to a luau. Children can make fire and crack coconuts in Samoa, learn how to play native games, and try their hands at other fun activities.

From camping and gardens to special events and activities, Honolulu County has a lot going on for residents who want to remain active. Are there local sporting events in Kapolei?
Apart from watching the surfers and the golfers, both sports of which are very popular on the island, Kapolei doesn't offer much in the way of local sporting events. Nearby Honolulu, however, does. Although Hawaii isn't home to any professional sports teams, fans of spectator sports can easily watch the football, volleyball, basketball, rugby, and baseball programs of the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Honolulu is located 30 minutes east of Kapolei.

As a town on the island of Honolulu, many Kapolei residents enjoy the ocean in their spare time. Activities include swimming, surfing, sunbathing, fishing, sailing, boating, and kayaking. As far as other outdoor recreation is concerned, hiking at any of the nearby forest reserves is also quite popular, as is golfing at any of the courses.
