The Kilbourn Knoll Historic Apartments building is located on a tree-lined enclave in the heart of Milwaukee’s Historic Concordia neighborhood; the actual address is 3104 W. Kilbourn (Google 3108 W. Kilbourn, Milwaukee, WI and try “Street View” for a good look at the building’s neighborhood; it’s wonderful.). This building, which was originally constructed in 1926, underwent a total gut rehab in 1990 and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places. That means that Kilbourn Knoll is essentially a new building in the shell of the original masonry structure. The Kilbourn Knoll design won the highest honor given by the Wisconsin Chapter of the American Institute of Architects in 1990.<br><br>Kilbourn Knoll has only twelve apartments—4 per floor. Each apartment is a 1,000 square foot, two bedroom corner unit with a living room, large kitchen, and bathroom. The apartments are light and airy with lots of windows, historic trim, and a number of period appropriate light fixtures. The kitchens are very large with plenty of room for a kitchen table.<br><br>Kilbourn Knoll has a resident manager, a group of wonderful residents, and caring neighbors. Hennessy Group, Kilbourn Knoll’s development and management company, is committed to providing high quality apartments and excellent customer service.
