Harper Woods has an extremely active Recreation Department. These guys aim to offer something for everyone, and they do a bang up job. From yoga, dance, and Pinochle to Zumba, basketball, and Adult Boot Camp, check out their intense list of programs and get moving. The department also works on special events throughout the seasons to get residents out and together. They host things like Tree Lighting and Breakfast with Santa. Fun and spirited!

If you like hitting little, dimpled balls into holes with clubs, you’ll be okay in Harper Woods. There are plenty of places in and around town to get your green on. Check out the Lochmoor Country Club. With 110 acres, this is a nice little respite in the city. They have a golf course, pro shop, range, and host tournaments as well as Ladies’ League, Mens’ League, and even Junior Golf. The club also has a pool, tennis courts, fitness center, and banquet space for weddings and other big bashes. The knock-out gorgeous Country Club of Detroit started way back in the late 1800s.
