The Hamilton Shopping

Residents of Hamilton do not need to travel to The Big Apple for a premiere shopping experience. There are a variety of upscale and mid-scale shopping destinations right in the Hamilton area. The Shoppes at Hamilton is an open-air mall that offers specialized services, such as a Shopper's Club that allows members to customize email notifications about promotions and sales from the mall's various stores. Check out the Quaker Bridge Mall, located about seven miles away in Lawrenceville, featuring over 90 stores to keep shoppers coming back. Another attraction is the food court, offering delicious quick bites during shopping days.

The Playground at Vet

The only problem with taking the kids to Veteran's Park in Hamilton is getting them to leave. The 350-acre park includes a dog park and nature trails, but most importantly, the largest playground in New Jersey. There are over a dozen slides, numerous swing sets, a rock-climbing wall, and many other structures to keep a child running and screaming with glee for hours at a time. A wooded area surrounds the playground and isolates it from nearby roads adding to the atmosphere and promoting safety. If the family somehow gets bored, head to the massive Mercer County Park that borders Veteran's Park to the North.

Hamilton Township's Septemberfest takes the all-American attitude and combines it with the tight knit community of an urban neighborhood street fair. Held annually in Veteran's Park, the festival offers a classic car show, a 'Touch a Truck' area where children can explore heavy equipment up close, local food vendors, and a showcase of the area's musical talent. Every year the Septemberfest has a different theme and something new to offer to keep people coming back for more. Keep an eye out for the city's mayor cutting loose and having fun with Hamilton's citizens at this annual event.
